REAL Treasure

Ok, so what is meant here by REAL Treasure?
Well, in the case of this blog, the REAL treasure is history. Treasure hunters are not just part of fiction, they exist. Not all of them are out to find treasure (gold, jewels, valuables, etc) for themselves. In many cases, they are out there searching for pieces of history. Probably one of the best-known treasure hunts is for the Lost City of Atlantis. The treasure hunters searching for this are examining clues which are found in the legend. One question they have to answer (and is one of the major reasons for their hunt)is "Is Atlantis real? Did it really exist?"

Another type of treasure can be found in conducting research into your family's history (also called genealogy). This can be a very difficult treasure hunt to undertake, but it is also very interesting particularly since you are the starting point. Typically, genealogies begin with the current generation (for instance, my name would be listed first on my tree) followed by the names of parents and previous generations.
